Good news! Kaylie's jaundice is all gone; she's no longer sleepy (or orange colored!) and she's awake more. Being awake more also means crying more and being a typical, fussy baby; but I'd rather have a healthy baby that cries than a sick one that sleeps all the time. As for my health, my blood pressure is getting better; the medication has been working fast, I lost another ten pounds in a week (twenty pounds lost in two weeks- too bad it was all water weight from the edema) and my feet are no longer puffy- I can wear shoes again!
Now that Kaylie doesn't sleep all the time, we actually get to see her eyes; and they are so pretty when she's got 'em open! It's hard to capture it in pictures, but she's got big, steel-grey eyes, a soft, pretty, perfectly-round head of dark brown hair, and slightly chubby cheeks with dimples in both sides. As for her personality, she seems somewhat laid back (doesn't cry nearly as much as karis did) and when she does cry, it doesn't last too long (as long as you are snuggling with her). We can't wait to get to know her more, and she what special personality traits God has given her.
