well, you asked, Mom!

Asked the kids to make a Christmas Wish List yesterday. The camera is being goofy, otherwise I'd post a pic of the lists they made. For now, here's what they've requested:

KARIS
a real cell phone
"art experium supplies" (her word for art supplies and science experiments)
a pocketknife
a magnifying glass
a coffee ("hot cocoa") mug with a Christmas Tree painted on
a pet bird, real or fake
a fish tank with a fish
and from Santa... she'd like a snowglobe with just one Christmas tree in it with snow

KYLE
a camera
a world globe
a drum
art supplies
big fish tank
telescope
wreath
football
basketball
night gear (night vision?)
snitch
BB gun
not sure what he will be asking Santa for.

I'm happy to see their wish lists has nothing to do with mega store/toys-possibly-filled-with-lead/day-after-Thanksgiving-Super-Sale Frenzies. However, just making a quick trip to Target would be much easier! I love they want items that are open-ended and can give hours of play (and learning!). Of course, Kaylie would be very happy with a big red, made-in-China electronic talking Elmo. and if you're wondering; the answer is NO to the BB Gun. And the knife. (and the live bird as well).
